Sacramento, CA Kitchen & Bath Remodeling Services

Whatever your Sacramento home needs, we handle it in-house. Kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, countertop fabrication and installation, cabinet refacing and custom cabinets. Sacramento is our largest market, and no two neighborhoods here ask the same thing of a remodel.

Kitchen Remodeling

Sacramento kitchen remodeling covers more ground than anywhere else we work. Midcentury ranch kitchens are compact and closed off. Homes from the 1970s and 80s have the square footage but lose it to soffits and walls. Our in-house crew handles everything from design to demo to final install.

Bathroom Remodeling

Bathroom remodeling is our busiest Sacramento service by a wide margin. Hall baths in older homes are tight and dated. Primary suites in newer neighborhoods have room to work with. Tub-to-shower conversions, vanity replacement, bathroom cabinets and aging-in-place upgrades lead the list.

Cabinet Refacing

In many Sacramento homes, the cabinet boxes outlast the doors. Sacramento cabinet refacing replaces doors, drawer fronts and veneer while the boxes stay put. Cabinets look new, at a fraction of what full replacement costs.

Custom Cabinetry

Stock cabinetry assumes a standard wall. Sacramento homes rarely give you one, especially in neighborhoods where floor plans changed decade by decade. Custom cabinets solve the corners, the odd ceiling heights and the storage no catalog size fits.

Countertop Replacement

Countertop replacement is the fastest visible change most kitchens can get. We fabricate kitchen countertops in our own shop, so you approve seam placement before anything gets cut. Choose from quartz, granite, natural stone and Silestone, all templated and installed by one team.

Remodeling Project Ideas for Your Sacramento Home

Tub-to-Shower Conversion

Bathrooms outrun kitchens in Sacramento by more than a hundred projects, and tub-to-shower conversions are a large part of the reason.

Homes built before 1990 almost always pair a tub and shower in the hall bathroom. If nobody in the house takes baths, that tub is storing shampoo and forcing a step-over every morning.

Converting to a walk-in shower opens the room and gives you space for a bench, a proper niche and a real drying area. The work covers demo of the tub and surround, new waterproofing, a repositioned drain and tile or solid-surface walls. Most conversions finish inside two weeks.

Cast-iron tubs are common in older Sacramento homes and come out heavy. Our crews plan removal before demo day rather than improvising around it.

Countertop Replacement

Countertops give you the largest visual change for the smallest disruption in a Sacramento kitchen.

The trigger is usually one of two things. Laminate seams start lifting, or tile grout stains past the point where cleaning helps. In homes updated everywhere else, an original slab is often the last thing holding the room back.

We fabricate kitchen countertops in our own shop. You approve seam placement rather than finding out where it landed on install day.

Quartz handles daily use with no sealing. Granite and natural stone give you patterns no other home repeats, and need periodic sealing. Silestone sits in the quartz category with a wider color range.

Plan for the sink, faucet and backsplash at the same time. Pulling a slab forces all three decisions.

Opening Up a Closed-Plan Kitchen

Sacramento kitchens built before the 1990s were designed as separate rooms. A wall, sometimes a doorway, between the kitchen and where everyone actually sits.

Removing it changes the house more than any other project. Whether the wall carries load determines cost, and our project manager checks framing during design rather than after demo starts.

Sacramento’s range of building eras makes this less predictable than in a production subdivision. A midcentury ranch, a 1970s split and a 1980s two-story all frame differently. That is a reason to plan carefully, not a reason to avoid the project.

Opening the wall usually leads to a peninsula or island, which moves the sink, dishwasher and cooktop. All of it runs through our own team.

Cabinet Refacing or Full Replacement

Sacramento cabinet refacing keeps your boxes and replaces doors, drawer fronts and the visible veneer. Full replacement removes everything.

Box condition decides it, not age. Homes from the 1950s through the 1990s frequently have solid hardwood or plywood boxes worth keeping. Particleboard boxes with water damage under the sink rarely survive.

Layout decides the rest. If your current cabinet positions work, reface. If you want a taller upper run, a different island or a pantry where a wall stands now, replacement makes more sense.

Refacing typically finishes in under a week with your kitchen mostly usable. Replacement runs longer.

Cabinet painting is a third option. Lower cost, works when the door style still suits you, less durable than a factory finish.

Aging-in-Place Bathroom Updates

Sacramento holds a large share of homeowners who bought decades ago and stayed. Thirty or forty years in one house changes what a bathroom needs to do.

This work does not have to look clinical. A curbless shower reads as a design choice. Blocking behind the tile lets grab bars go in now or later without opening walls twice. A comfort-height vanity and a taller toilet reduce daily strain.

Lever handles replace knobs. Lighting gets brighter at the mirror and inside the shower. Non-slip tile handles wet floors without the institutional look.

ADA-compliant work follows specific clearance and reach dimensions. Our designers know which apply to a private residence versus a code requirement, and build to whichever standard you want.

Pantry and Custom Storage

Sacramento homes were built for a different era of kitchen. Counters that never anticipated a stand mixer, an air fryer and a coffee setup running at once.

Custom cabinets fix it. Pull-out pantry towers replace deep shelving. Appliance garages keep the counter clear. Drawer bases hold pots better than doors and shelves ever did.

Older Sacramento homes often have breakfast nooks, service porches and awkward alcoves that no stock cabinet line accommodates. Those spaces become the best storage in the house once something gets built to fit them.

Bathroom cabinets work the same way. A linen tower sized to your wall beats a freestanding cabinet crowding the doorway.

FAQs

Can I remodel my kitchen or bathroom in Sacramento without moving out of my home?

Yes, you can stay in your home during most remodels. Contractors near Sacramento take steps to minimize dust, noise, and disruption. If you have a second bathroom or can set up a temporary kitchen, living through the remodel is very manageable.

Will my remodel in Sacramento require permits?

It depends on the work. If your kitchen or bathroom remodel involves plumbing, electrical, or structural changes, you’ll likely need permits. A licensed contractor near Sacramento can handle the permitting process to ensure everything meets local building codes.

How can I make my small Sacramento kitchen or bathroom feel larger without expanding the space?

Smart design is key. Custom cabinetry, space-saving layouts, lighter finishes, and clever storage solutions can make smaller Sacramento kitchens and baths feel more open and functional—without moving walls.

What’s the benefit of hiring a local Sacramento-area remodeler versus a big-box store?

Local contractors offer personalized service, faster response times, and better familiarity with Sacramento homes and permitting processes. You’re more likely to work with in-house craftsmen who are accountable for the entire job—from design to installation.

How long do kitchen and bathroom remodels typically take in Sacramento homes?

For Sacramento homeowners, a full kitchen remodel usually takes 6–10 weeks, while a bathroom remodel takes about 3–4 weeks. Timelines can vary based on scope, material availability, and permitting, but local, full-service contractors help keep everything on track.
