Woodland, CA Home Remodeling Services

Whatever your Woodland home needs, we handle it in-house. Kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, countertop fabrication and installation, cabinet refacing and custom cabinets. Here is what each service looks like in homes built across Woodland’s neighborhoods.

Kitchen Remodeling

Woodland kitchens sit in homes that have been well kept for decades, which usually means the layout is the only thing holding them back. Most were built with the kitchen set apart from the living space, and opening it up changes how the whole house feels. We handle everything from design, to demo to final install.

Bathroom Remodeling

Bathrooms and kitchens run neck and neck in Woodland. Hall baths are often original to the house and modest by current standards. Tub-to-shower conversions lead the list, followed by vanity replacement, bathroom cabinets and aging-in-place work.

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing

In many Woodland homes, the kitchen cabinet boxes can sometimes outlast the doors. Woodland cabinet refacing replaces doors, drawer fronts and veneer while the boxes stay put. Cabinets look new, at a fraction of what full replacement costs.

Custom Kitchen Cabinetry

Stock cabinetry comes in standard sizes. Woodland homes sometimes don’t. Custom cabinets are built to your room, which means the corners get used, the soffits get worked around and your storage fits the way you actually live.

Kitchen Countertop Replacement

Woodland countertop replacement is the quickest way to update a kitchen without a full remodel. We fabricate kitchen countertops in our own shop, so you approve seam placement before anything gets cut. Choose from quartz, granite, natural stone and Silestone.

Sacramento, CA
First, we had a very positive experience. Everybody we interacted with was great! Just a question… why do some corners have a trim and some don’t? Wasn’t sure if this was intentional. Otherwise, everything was great and I plan to go leave a glowing review next. Thank you!

Project Ideas for Your Woodland Home

Opening Up a Closed-Plan Kitchen

Woodland homes were built when the kitchen was its own room. A wall, sometimes just a doorway, separates it from where the family actually sits.

Removing that wall changes the house more than any other project. The square footage does not change, but the room stops feeling like a corridor with appliances in it.

Whether the wall carries load determines cost. Our project manager checks framing during design rather than after demo starts, so the answer arrives before you commit to a budget.

Woodland spans several building decades, and framing methods shifted along the way. A neighbor’s remodel tells you little about your own walls, so we look at yours specifically before quoting.

Opening it up usually leads to a peninsula or island, which moves the sink, dishwasher and cooktop. All of that runs through our own team.

Tub-to-Shower Conversion

Woodland homes built before 1990 almost always pair a tub and shower in the hall bathroom. If nobody in the house takes baths, that tub is storing shampoo and forcing a step-over every morning.

Converting to a walk-in shower opens the room and gives you space for a bench, a proper niche and a real drying area.

The work covers demo of the tub and surround, new waterproofing, a repositioned drain and tile or solid-surface walls. Most conversions finish inside two weeks.

Cast-iron tubs are common in the older neighborhoods and come out heavy. Our crews plan removal before demo day rather than improvising around it.

Keep one tub in the house if resale matters. Buyers with young children still look for it.

Pantry and Custom Storage

Woodland kitchens were designed for households that owned fewer things. A shallow broom closet, one pantry shelf and counters that never anticipated a stand mixer, an air fryer and a coffee setup running at once.

Custom cabinets fix it. Pull-out pantry towers replace shelving that wastes most of its depth. Appliance garages keep the counter clear. Drawer bases hold pots better than doors and shelves ever did.

Older Woodland homes often have service porches, breakfast nooks and awkward alcoves that no stock cabinet line accommodates. Built to fit, those spaces become the best storage in the house.

Bathroom cabinets work the same way. A linen tower sized to your wall beats a freestanding cabinet crowding the doorway.

A single built-in pantry costs a fraction of a full remodel and often solves the original complaint.

Cabinet Refacing or Full Replacement

Woodland cabinet refacing keeps your boxes and replaces doors, drawer fronts and the visible veneer. Full replacement removes everything.

Box condition decides it, not age. Woodland homes have generally been well maintained, and many still have solid hardwood or plywood boxes built when that was standard practice. Particleboard boxes with water damage under the sink rarely survive.

Layout decides the rest. If your current cabinet positions work, reface. If you want a taller upper run, a different island or a pantry where a wall stands now, replacement makes more sense.

Refacing typically finishes in under a week with your kitchen mostly usable. Replacement runs longer.

Cabinet painting is a third option. Lower cost, works when the door style still suits you, less durable than a factory finish.

Aging-in-Place Bathroom Updates

Woodland holds onto its residents. Long ownership is the norm here, and thirty or forty years in one house changes what a bathroom needs to do.

This work does not have to look clinical. A curbless shower reads as a design choice. Blocking behind the tile lets grab bars go in now or later without opening walls twice. A comfort-height vanity and a taller toilet reduce daily strain.

Lever handles replace knobs. Lighting gets brighter at the mirror and inside the shower. Non-slip tile handles wet floors without the institutional look.

ADA-compliant work follows specific clearance and reach dimensions. Our designers know which apply to a private residence versus a code requirement, and build to whichever standard you want.

Countertop Replacement

Countertops give you the largest visual change for the smallest disruption in a Woodland kitchen.

The trigger is usually one of two things. Laminate seams start lifting, or tile grout stains past the point where cleaning helps. In a home updated everywhere else, an original counter is often the last thing holding the room back.

We fabricate kitchen countertops in our own shop. You approve seam placement rather than finding out where it landed on install day.

Quartz handles daily use with no sealing. Granite and natural stone give you patterns no other home repeats, and need periodic sealing. Silestone sits in the quartz category with a wider color range.

Plan for the sink, faucet and backsplash at the same time. Pulling a slab forces all three decisions whether you budgeted for them or not.
