Roseville, CA Kitchen & Bath Remodeling Services

Roseville built out in waves. Johnson Ranch and Diamond Oaks went up decades before West Park broke ground. Each wave brought its own framing, plumbing and cabinet standards. Our designers start with what your home already has, then build the scope from there.

Kitchen Remodeling

Most Roseville kitchen remodels start with a layout problem. Homes from the 1970s and 80s were built closed off from living space. Johnson Ranch kitchens have the square footage but lose it to circulation. Newer builds have the room and not the storage. Our in-house crew handles everything from design and demolition through final install.

Bathroom Remodeling

Bathrooms are our highest-volume Roseville remodeling service. Some homeowners want a primary suite that feels finished. Some want the unused tub gone and a real shower in its place. Some are planning to stay put and need universal design or ageing-in-place ideas. Whatever bathroom remodeling service you need, Kitchen Mart Kitchen & Bath can deliver.

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing

Roseville homes built from the 1970s through the 1990s often hide solid cabinet boxes behind dated oak fronts. Cabinet refacing for Roseville kitchens is an economical option where we swap out the doors, drawers and old hardware. You select a new door style and color and your boxes are wrapped to match. The results are amazing. We use the same premium doors, hardware and materials we use in our custom cabinetry. If the door style still works, cabinet repainting may be an option.

Custom Kitchen Cabinetry

Stock cabinetry assumes a standard wall. Older Roseville homes from the 1980s and 90s rarely have one. Custom work solves the corners, the soffits and the pantry space no catalog size fits. Our own shop builds it, measured to your unique Roseville kitchen needs!

The existing bathtub was removed to make room for a larger, more comfortable walk-in shower. This solid-surface design is antimicrobial and easy to clean, giving the homeowners both luxury and peace of mind.

Bathroom Remodeling in Roseville, CA: A Modern Hall Bath Refresh

We converted the tub to shower moving the position of the drain. Looking to update the appearance and get rid of the grout, the homeowners opted for a Corian surround in Artista Canvas. We added a Corian shower pan with a 3.5" threshold and line drain. Additionally shower features include  new valves, handheld spray, recessed soap/shampoo niche and Corian corner seat, also in Artista Canvas. For the shower door, Euro sliders were selected.

Remodeling Projects for Your Roseville Home

Tub-to-Shower Conversion

Roseville homes built before 1990 usually have a tub-shower combo in the primary bathroom. If nobody in your house takes baths, that tub wastes floor space. Converting to a walk-in shower opens the room visually and gives you space for a bench, a niche and a larger drying area.

The work involves demo of the tub and surround, new waterproofing, an updated drain position and tile or solid-surface walls. Most conversions finish in under two weeks.

Diamond Oaks and other 1970s neighborhoods are our most frequent conversion sites. Older cast-iron tubs come out heavy, so our crews plan removal before demo day. Keep the tub in a secondary bathroom if you plan to sell later. Buyers with young children still look for one.

Quartz or Granite Countertop Replacement

Countertops deliver the highest visual impact of any single change in a Roseville kitchen. Replacement usually starts with one of two triggers: laminate or tile grout beginning to fail, or a builder-grade slab in a West Park home no longer matching an updated cabinet color.

We fabricate in our own shop. You see your actual slab before we cut. Seam placement gets decided with your input, not left to a subcontractor’s convenience.

Quartz handles daily use with no sealing. Granite and natural stone give you patterns no other home will repeat, and need periodic sealing. Silestone sits in the quartz category with a wider color range.

Replacement usually pulls in a new sink, an updated faucet and a backsplash decision. Budget for those.

Opening Up a 1970s Kitchen

Diamond Oaks kitchens date to around 1976 and follow the closed-plan logic of the era. A wall separates the kitchen from the family room. The result feels smaller than the square footage suggests.

Removing that wall transforms these homes more than any other change. Whether the wall carries load determines cost. Our project manager checks framing during the design phase, not after demo starts.

Opening the wall usually leads to a peninsula or island, which changes where your sink, dishwasher and cooktop sit. Plumbing and electrical rerouting follow. All of that work runs through our own team.

Homes from this era also tend to have original oak cabinets with sound boxes. Pairing a wall removal with refacing keeps costs well below a full tear-out.

Cabinet Refacing or Full Replacement

Refacing keeps your cabinet boxes and replaces doors, drawer fronts and the visible veneer. Full replacement removes everything.

Box condition decides it, not age. Roseville homes from the 1970s through the 1990s frequently have solid plywood boxes worth keeping. Particleboard boxes with water damage under the sink rarely survive a refacing.

Layout decides the rest. If your current cabinet positions work, reface. If you want a taller upper run, a different island or a pantry where a wall now stands, replacement makes more sense.

Refacing typically finishes in under a week with your kitchen mostly usable. Replacement runs longer.

Cabinet painting is a third option. Lower cost, works when the door style still suits you, less durable than a factory finish.

Aging-in-Place Bathroom Updates

Roseville holds a large share of homeowners planning to stay put. West Park includes The Club at WestPark, a 704-home 55+ neighborhood. Johnson Ranch and Diamond Oaks both hold long-tenured owners who bought decades ago.

Aging-in-place work does not have to look clinical. A curbless shower reads as a design choice. Blocking behind the tile lets grab bars go in now or later without opening walls twice. A comfort-height vanity and a taller toilet reduce daily strain.

Lever handles replace knobs. Lighting gets brighter at the mirror and inside the shower. Non-slip tile handles wet floors without the institutional look.

ADA-compliant work follows specific clearance and reach dimensions. Our designers know which apply to a private residence versus a code requirement, and build to whichever standard you want.

Pantry and Custom Storage

Old Town Roseville homes average 1,400 square feet. Storage is the constraint, not style.

Our cabinet shop builds to your dimensions, which matters in homes where wall angles predate standard framing. A pantry built into an existing alcove uses space a stock cabinet line would waste.

Common Roseville storage projects include pull-out pantry towers, appliance garages, banquette seating with drawer bases under the bench, mudroom lockers and garage cabinet systems.

Bathroom storage follows the same logic. A linen tower sized to a specific wall beats a freestanding cabinet blocking a doorway.

Custom does not automatically mean expensive. A single built-in pantry costs less than a full kitchen remodel and often resolves the complaint that started the remodel conversation.

FAQs

What permits do I need for kitchen remodeling in Roseville?

You need permits for electrical, plumbing, and structural changes during kitchen remodeling projects in Roseville. Kitchen cabinet refacing typically doesn’t require permits, but kitchen countertop replacement might if plumbing connections change. Contact Placer County Building Department for specific requirements before starting your project.

How long does bathroom remodeling take in Roseville homes?

Most bathroom remodeling projects in Roseville take 2-4 weeks, depending on scope and material availability. Full renovations with custom features take longer. Weather delays are minimal year-round in Roseville. We provide detailed timelines during your consultation and keep you updated throughout the process.

What's the cost difference between cabinet refacing and replacement in Roseville?

Kitchen cabinet refacing costs 30-50% less than full replacement in Roseville. Refacing works well when your cabinet boxes are structurally sound and your happy with the existing layout. Full replacement is better for layout changes or damaged cabinets. We evaluate your existing cabinets and recommend the most cost-effective solution for your budget.

Which kitchen countertops work best in Roseville homes?

Quartz, granite and natural stone are popular choices for kitchen countertop replacement in Roseville due to durability and heat resistance. Both handle the area’s temperature variations well. Quartz requires less maintenance, while granite offers unique natural patterns. We help you choose based on your cooking habits, budget, and design preferences.
