Sometimes the simplest update makes the biggest difference. For these Loomis, ca. homeowners, they were looking to update their outdated countertops to a more modern, yet timeless aesthetic to the kitchen. They absolutely achieved that goal, improving both usability and increasing their homes value. A countertop replacement – replacing old, tiled countertops or outdated, dark granite with modern quartz was a gamechanger.
More Usable Space + Modern Style
As part of this remodel, we lowered the island to one level and added four new corbels under the 12″ overhang. We built these corbels and matched them as closely as possible to the existing cabinetry color. For these beautiful countertops, the homeowner chose Cambria Macbeth quartz, a stunning surface that combines low maintenance with timeless style. The result is a kitchen that feels cozy, modern, and easier to live in every day. This included a full height splash 18″ and 5.5″ stone splash on returns and 5″ splash in the dining area.

This was a complete top-to-bottom kitchen remodel. We updated all plumbing and electrical to current codes. We removed two walls, reframed kitchen ceiling joists per necessary engineering and specs, removed living room soffits, reframed the kitchen window and reframed the exterior kitchen door.
